New for the summer of 2020, Glen Lake Camp & Retreat is offering Getaway Cabin experiences for you. Booking for these Getaway Cabins is open now. We hope this will provide an opportunity to you and your family to get away for a couple of days and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Glen Lake Camp. Glen Lake Camp will provide the cabin, meals, and amenities which allow you the freedom to custom design your own experience. We have adjusted our minimum group size to accommodate families, quarantine friends, and house churches (maximum 10 people). https://www.glenlake.org/getaway Getaway Cabin: 2 nights and 5 meals $90/person ($360 minimum) Getaway Cabins are first book, first serve for our cabins. The Original Family Campground, Oakdale opened in 1925 as a campground, motor court, built around the largest swimming pool in Texas at that time, the 330,000-gallon Oakdale Plunge. Oakdale is one of the only private RV parks in the country listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For almost 100 years, Oakdale has been home to many events, from family reunions, RV rallies, swimming parties, and music concerts. This is a pet-friendly location. We have 120 RV spaces with full hook-ups and WIFI, about 2 dozen cabins, a couple of bunkhouses, a couple of bathhouses, meeting rooms with kitchenettes, a convention center, an outdoor kitchen and pavilion, a new playground, a laundromat, an outdoor stage, picnic shelters, and a park store. We are located just across the street from the Paluxy River with its Big Rocks recreational area, a putt-putt golf course, a lighted river walk leading to a county park, and a dam with a small lake behind it.
