Opened in 1925 as a campground, motor court and swimming pool, Oakdale Park is home to many events, from family reunions, RV rallies and swimming parties, to a weekly free summer concert series, to monthly bluegrass jams and free stage shows, to semi-annual bluegrass festivals, to an annual dulcimer festival, woodcarving rally, and BBQ and chili cook-off. From March through October, there’s almost always something happening; then, from Memorial Day through Labor Day our historic, 330,000-gallon swimming pool is open for business.We have 120 RV spaces with full hook-ups and WIFI, about 2 dozen cabins, a couple of bunkhouses, a couple of bathhouses, meeting rooms with kitchenettes, a convention center, an outdoor kitchen and pavilion, a new playground, a laundromat, an outdoor stage, picnic shelters, and a park store.We are located just across the street from the Paluxy River with its Big Rocks recreational area, a putt-putt golf course, a lighted river walk leading to a county park, and a dam with a small lake behind it.
