• Texas power consumers (those served by a company not owned by a municipality or a utility cooperative could choose their electricity service from a variety of retail electric providers (REPs), including the incumbent utility. The incumbent utility in the area still owns and maintains the local power lines.  The incumbent utility providers that service the City of Glen Rose are Texas-New Mexico Power and United Cooperative.  Since the City of Glen Rose does not have municipal electric service available to our residents, residents may have electric service provided at their property by their choice of electric providers.
