Police Officer (TCOLE Certified)

Applications may be submitted through our website advertisement, emailed to City Secretary at stephanie.ritchie@glenrosetexas.org, or at City of Glen Rose City Hall Monday through Friday.

The following documents will be needed for application submission:

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School graduation or GED.
Possession of a valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a valid Social Security Card and Birth Certificate.
Certification as a Peace Officer in the State of Texas REQUIRED.
Must be able to work Days, Nights, Weekends and Holidays.

Examples of Duties:
Enforce all the laws of the state and applicable federal laws.
Provides law enforcement services to residents and responds to service requests.
Prepares documentation and reports in a timely manner.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Patrols City limits and assists citizens in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
Responds to all calls for service.
Performs traffic enforcement duties, such as directing traffic, and responding to accidents; performing DWI enforcement, writing and/or issuing citations or warnings in accordance with City and/or state laws and ordinances.
Completes offense and incident reports as necessary; may be required to testify in court.
Apprehends criminals in a variety of both hostile and non-hostile situations.
Performs other related duties as required.
