Very nice, close to town for anything you need, very roomy sites. Grass!!! No grass rugs or alcohol allowed. But that's what keeps the great stay in line.
My family and I stayed here for a couple of nights. We loved it! We usually stay at a hotel down the road but I'm so glad we found this place. We will be repeat guests.I love that there are towels and soaps in the cabins. Very convenient.Floors needed to be swept when we got there so I'm glad there is a broom and dustpan available.
Beautiful place to live or just to stay. The employees are super nice and it has a beautiful atmosphere.
Oakdale Park is great! It was one of the first places I visited when I first moved to Texas 31 years ago. Our SCA group rents the hall there every year for our Yule Revel.A few years ago, the park had fallen into disrepair and the family that ran it was wanting to sell it. The city stepped in and bought it to preserve it for future generations and did extensive repairs and rejuvenations to the property. They did a fabulous job and it always a pleasure to visit. The esthetic of the cabins is simple, country decor. They aren't fancy but they are clean and comfortable; and, if you're going to Glen Rose, you're going there to have fun out and about around town, or on the river, or at Dinosaur Valley State Park, or Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.
Been going there since a child in early 60s. Very nice family environment. Full size, well maintained swimming pool. Nice, clean homely little cabins for rent. Paluxy river just a short walk across the road. I have very fond memories of this. That is till my mother showed up at the family reunion, but that's only 2 days out of the year. I highly recommend any if the other 363 days of the year.
